This is an initiative aims to educate the public on FANR’s roles and the responsibilities as nuclear Regulatory body in the country which is to protect the public and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation and to ensure the exclusively peaceful use of nuclear energy through producing electric energy from clean sources, which aims to reduce the effects of carbon footprint in an integrated manner with the concerned authorities and according to international best practices.
Those sessions are targeting members of the Public through city halls (Majlises) across all the emirates to raise the public awareness about FANR regulatory role. The sessions shed lights on FANR’s vision, mission and core values as well as a presentation about radiation and nuclear energy role in producing the electric energy which aims to reduce the effects of carbon footprint.
This year we hosted more than 4 sessions, most of which were virtual due to the current situation in the country.
