Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) Accessibility
As part of our efforts to reach people with limited accessibility, we have designed the FANR website with enhanced features that will ease the browsing for all users.

Website Structure
The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation website exclusively follows the recommendations laid down by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to maintain the website structure, navigation, look and feel. The user will always have a pleasant experience while browsing the portal.
Zoom Screen
For those with limited vision, FANR has enabled a zoom option that can be selected from the user’s browser to enlarge the page. Users can change the page size by clicking on the View menu and then clicking on zoom and adjusting the page size according to his or her needs.
Reading text
For people with visual imparity or for those who wish to avoid eyestrain, our portal offers ReadSpeaker, a software that will enable users to listen to the content rather reading it.
Changing text size
For those who have difficulty reading the text on our website, the text-size can be increased or decreased by clicking on the A+ or A- icons on the top right corner of the webpage.
Alternatively, the user can adjust the text-size setting of their browser in the following way:
Internet Explorer: The text size setting can be changed by clicking on the View menu and then clicking on Text Size and selecting the required size.
Firefox: The text size can be changed by clicking on the View menu and then selecting Increase or Decrease to change the text size. Alternatively, the buttons Ctrl and + on the numeric keypad can be pressed to increase the text size, or Ctrl and - to decrease the text size. Pressing Ctrl and 0 returns the text to its default size.
Google Chrome: The text size can be changed by clicking on the main menu and then clicking on Zoom and adjusting the text-size. Alternatively the buttons Ctrl and + on the numeric keypad can be pressed to increase the text size, or Ctrl and - to decrease the text size. Pressing Ctrl and 0 returns the text to its default size.
Opera: The text size of both text and graphics can be changed using the + and - keys on the numeric keypad. Each time either button is pressed, the size will increase or decrease by 10%.
Safari: The text size can be changed by clicking on the View menu and then clicking on ‘Make Text Bigger’ or ‘Make Text Smaller’ to change the font size as appropriate. The keyboard shortcuts can also be used: to increase or decrease the text size, the user can press the Apple button and + or the Apple button and -.
Alternate text for image
Every image on the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation website is tagged with an appropriate description. In order to read the image description, the mouse needs to be positioned over the image.
