Those sessions target Government entities in the country; the aim of those sessions is to raise awareness of FANR roles and responsibilities as the UAE nuclear regulatory body. In the sessions, we shed lights on the radiation in everyday life and how does FANR perform its mandate and regulate different industries within the UAE, as well as our efforts in regulating the nuclear energy sector.
FANR mission is to protect the public and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation and to ensure the exclusively peaceful use of nuclear energy in an integrated manner with the concerned authorities and according to international best practices, as well as capacity building of Emiratis in the nuclear field and various technical fields. This contribute indirectly to the UAE’s vision of producing energy from clean sources while reducing the effects of carbon footprintd
This year, we hosted more than six government outreaches to multiple government entities like Abu Dhabi Government, Dubai Government, Ministry of Defense, Abu Dhabi Ports and Dubai Ports World that were attended by more than 1,172 government employee.
