His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, declared 2017 to be the 'Year of Giving' to promote a culture of giving back to the community, and enhancing the spirit of volunteering and national loyalty.
In this year FANR launched the ‘Give Back’ initiative; an internal volunteering programme that encouraged its staff to donate their time and use their skills through self-led workshops where they were able to transfer knowledge between each other.
Those workshops included language sessions in French, German, Spanish and Arabic as well as workshops on health and wellness, hobby-sharing and communication skills.
FANR also integrated the values of giving by incorporating charitable activities & donations during internal campaigns in collaboration with various entities such as the Red Crescent and Al Ghadeer Crafts.
