FANR receives International Safety Award for protecting employees from injury risk at work for the second time in a row

​The British Safety Council has recognized The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) with the International Safety Award with merit for the second time in a row scoring 42 out of 58 for its commitment to keeping its workers and workplaces healthy and safe.
 
FANR is among 250 organizations globally to win such a prestigious award.  International Safety Award recognize and celebrate organizations from around the world, which have demonstrated to the satisfaction of the scheme’s independent judges their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health. The awards also recognize organizations that have shown commitment to wellbeing and mental health at work. 
FANR submitted the application and met the criteria requested by the British Safety Council such as it did not suffer any work-related fatalities, not being subject of any convictions in relations to health and safety and other elements.
 
FANR has been implementing various programmes such as HSE Training and Awareness Programme and Office Ergonomics Programme to strengthen staff wellbeing and occupational health and safety at work.
